1.Introduction.

Darul Ehsan Medical Center (DEMC) was set-up 11 years ago (July 1997) and provides a wide range of specialist medical and surgical services for the people of Shah Alam and its vicinity. For the past fivesome years the hospital has faced a full demand, and the have a go at it occupancy rates (BOR) have reached 90% daily on the average. In order to meet the increasing demand, the Board of Directors has concur to build a new facility. The sum of inpatients beds impart be increased from 50 to 150, and will be equipped with up-to-date medical equipment and enhanced diagnostic capabilities.



The number of full time medical and surgical specialist will also be increased from 14 to 40 at a time the new facility is ready.

2.Objective

Darul Ehsan Medical Centre aspires to provide the highest health anguish services to medical care and wellness seekers from Selangor, Klang Valley and next states and the region. The Medical Centre also aspires to provide state-of -the-art medical care services in selected disciplines that are relevant to the problems facing the patients in Shah Alam and Klang Valley.

The main reasons for relocating DEMC are because of its inability to provide more lay and facilities with the rising demand, and also to comply fully with the new Private Healthcare Act.
