The paper reports on an ongoing project interested with a cross-cultural investigation of row act realization patterns. The goals of the project are to compare crossways deliverys the realization patterns of two speech actsâ"requests and apologies â"and to establish the similarities and differences between autochthonous and non-native speakers realization patterns in these two acts in each of the dustups examine within the project.
