In underdeveloped a more retentive theory, we address possible concerns round anthropomorphism; deiine organizational memory and elaborate on its organise; and discuss the processes oi instruction acquisition, retention, and retrieval. Next, these processes back up a banter oi how organizational memory can be used, misused, or mistreated in the management oi organizations. Some living theories are reassessed with lucid attention to memory. The paper closes with an examination oi the methodological challenges that await iuture researchers in this area.
