The period after the War of 1812 during the presidency of James Monroe is very much referred to as the era of good feelings because of a feeling of res publicaalism, a feeling of vainglory and field of study unity. The end of the Federalist companionship as well as provided the nation with a feeling of nationalism, for there was no governmental opposition toward the republicans.
