We got to go out for lunch, didnt have to wear uniforms or go through metal detectors, went on more trips, and had more activities and clubs for the students. there were much better school lunches and I had to ride a school bus to school. Compared to most public schools in the rule of Columbia this was much better than I expected. So I wondered why D.C public high schools werent like this.
T.C Williams was very diverse. It had students from every continent in the world. Adjusting at first was a little difficult because it was my first judgment of conviction going to attend a school that was so diverse and it was my first time ever living outside of D.C. I came to the school a week after school had already started. Everyone was already present with one another from growing up with each other or meeting each other for the first time that week.



When I first got to the school I walked around the school not meeting people but watching how the students interacted with one another. I saw that even though everyone hung out in their own little clique they still channeld with other students they didnt chill with.
That year at T.C I met people that I never thought I would ever even babble out to. I became good friends with many students from different countries and parts of the world. I learned many new things from them. Going to T.C. Williams was a outstanding experience because now I am able to communicate and befriend people from all over.
